Administrative Assistant - City of Thunder Bay - Freelancer (Jan. 2022 - May 2022)
During my last semester in college, I worked as a co-op student in Pioneer Ridge (a long-term care facility) for several months.
Tasks done include:
• Tracking daily revenue from cafeteria sales
• Preparing weekly bank deposits
• Filing reports and forms
Afterward, I became a vendor for the City of Thunder Bay.
This was when I started to do freelance remote work and developed spreadsheets for Pioneer Ridge,
used for financial reporting.
Bookkeeper - Monashee Community Co-op - Employee (July 2022 - Sept. 2023)
Monashee Co-op is a volunteer-run grocery store in Lumby, BC.
I performed a variety of bookkeeping tasks, including the following:
• Reconciling monthly bank statements with Sage 50
• Committing receipts to invoices using Yellowdog software
• Creating invoices in Sage 50
• Tracking expenses/payments using Excel pivot tables
• Converting payroll stubs on Excel to PDF files
• Entering payments (rent, payroll, cost of goods sold) as journal entries using Sage 50
All of which was done 100% remotely.

Bookkeeper - John Howard Society of Thunder Bay - Contract Work (Aug. 2023 - Oct. 2023)
John Howard is a non-profit that specializes in housing people who are having difficulties integrating themselves into society.
During my 3 month contract, I worked closely in-office with all of the financial data
that needed to be cataloged.
This includes:
• Calculating HST rebates.
• Tracking credit and gift card payments using excel.
• Inputing and paying invoices/MasterCard balances using Sage 50
• Managing rent and other receivables from both Excel and Sage 50
• Separating costs throughout the different departments
• Generating and exporting financial reports from Sage 50
• Updating budgets in excel.

Bookkeeping services - Walleye Magazine - Freelancer (Mar. 2024 - Present)

Through a connection at the College,
I found a job posting for a remote bookkeeping job with Walleye Magazine, working alongside the (now former) Editor-In-Chief.
I provided services to help the business get caught up with financial records.
Tasks include:
• Processing payments received (online payments/deposit slips) in Sage 50
• Recording expenses (hydro, shipping costs, contract work, etc.) with Sage 50
• Sending and Tracking monthly sales invoices
• Generating payroll stubs and inputting bonuses paid in Sage 50.
Bookkeeping services - Wellspring Psychotherapy - Independent Contractor (Apr. 2024 - Present)
A remote bookkeeping job for a behavioral health counseling practice in Thunder Bay.
I am working alongside the company's management to clean and maintain financial records.
Tasks include:
• Creating invoices in Quickbooks Online
• Inputting bills in Quickbooks Online
• Running payroll in Quickbooks for employees and independent contractors
• Matching bank transactions to relevant invoices/bills in Quickbooks Online
• Labelling invoices and receipts in Google Drive, for ease of tracking and maintaining consistency among file names
